Besides Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, David Beckham is named as the most famous football player in the world.

He was born on May 2, 1975, in London, England. His father, David Edward Alan Beckham, worked as a kitchen fitter while his mother Sandra Georgina was a hairdresser. Beckham was the second child among the three ones in the family.

When he was a child, David Beckham studied at Chase Lane Primary School and then attended to Chingford County High School. During his childhood, he was interested in football and played for a local team named Ridgeway Rovers.

He went for trials at many clubs such as Norwich City and Leyton Orient before studying at the school of excellence at the Tottenham Hotspur football club. His life was changed when he attended the Youth Training Scheme at Manchester United in 1991.

At MU, David Beckham became a part of the legendary “Class of 92” youth player and helped the club win the FA Youth Cup. In 1993, he signed the first professional contract with the MU one year after making his debut for the senior team.

David Beckham became a necessary part of the MU in the mid to late 1990s. In 1999, he helped the team win a treble, namely the FA CUP, the Premier League, and the UEFA Champions League.

He was one of the world’s well-known midfielders when scoring goals in 262 games and winning six Premier League medals.

In 2000, he became a captain of the England national team. In 2003, he moved to the Spanish football team Real Madrid and teamed up with some best players in the world, such as Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, and Roberto Carlos. During his four-year playing in Real Madrid, he scored 13 goals. He played for England in 117 games with a total of 17 goals.

In 2007, David Beckham moved to the Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy and played for the five seasons. He scored 18 goals in 98 games for the team.

He moved to French side Paris Saint-Germain in 2013 with a five-month contract. He retired from professional football at the end of the season.
