Neymar da Silva Santos Junior, known as a short name Neymar, was born on February 5, 1992, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His father, Neymar Santos Senior, was also a professional football player and used to be his teacher.
When he was a child, Neymar played street football and futsal with his friends, helping him hone his skills as a football player.
In 2003, he began representing the youth ranks of the “Portuguesa Santista” team and moved to a city of Sao Vicente. In that year, Neymar joined the famous Brazilian football club “FC Santos” when he was at the age of 11.
